a little girl came up to me and asked me:
'Lady do you know why God cries?'
I said: 'no I don't really, but you do know why he's sad all the time?'
and she said: 'Yes I Do, it's because of you and me'
C: it was never suppose to be this way
and everyone changed everything
it's a test of time
and were not passing the grade
if we don't get right
it's gonna end one day
how could someone so young-be so wise
how could she know
why the heavens cry
I spoke to a couple the other day
two people so much in love telling me

what's the point and hurting everyone
why can't we get along someday
